If you could be Disney princess…

Today’s blog post topic: If you could be any Disney princess who would you be and why??

If I could be any Disney princess I would be Ariel. I feel like I can relate a lot to Ariel. Growing up forced to live a life that I didn’t want and watching the life I want from the sidelines. In the last few years i have gotten the opportunity to get the life I want. But in the process of getting that life I know I have upset my family.

While I didn’t sign my soul over to a half octopus, I have done a few things I am not proud of. I am grateful though that my family has forgiven me and still loves me.

I also feel like I have a tie to Ariel because I am obsessed with the ocean. Ariel is obsessed with land. Although there are opposite we both are very obsessed with the aspect of living somewhere else.

10 Things to Eat at Disneyland

I love Disneyland, but there is a good chance that I love the food more than anything. Which may seem weird since it is amusement park food. But it is actually very tasty. Below is a list of my 10 favorite foods at Disneyland and where to find them.

  1. Churros- They are sold at little carts through out the Disneyland and California Adventure park. I normally get them right before the castle on the Disneyland side.
  2. Dole Pineapple Whip-Sold at the Tiki Room in Adventureland on the Disneyland side. You can either go in and watch the Tiki Room show or there is a line outside.
  3. Banyan Beef Skewer-Sold at the Bengal Barbeque, also in Adventureland.
  4. French Dip Sandwich- Sold at the French Market in New Orleans Square on the Disneyland side.
  5. Mint Julep- Sold at the Mint Julep Bar, next to French Market on the Disneyland side.
  6. Grilled Cheese-Also known as the Jolly Holiday Combo. It also comes with a side of Tomato Basil soup. Sold at the Jolly Holiday Cafe on Main Street in Disneyland.
  7. Fresh Berry Belgian Waffle- Sold at Ariel’s Grotto on the California Adventure side. You do need dining reservations to eat at Ariel’s Grotto.
  8. Bacon Cheddar Burger- Sold at the Smokejumper’s Grill on the California Adventure side. It is next to Soarin’ Over California.
  9. Turkey Pesto Club-Sold at the Pacific Wharf Cafe on the California Adventure side. It is near Paradise Pier.
  10. Blueberry Muffin-Sold at Earl of Sandwich in Downtown Disney.

These are my favorite things to have been I go to Disneyland. I would strongly suggest trying a hot chocolate. You can get one anywhere that they sell food.

Disneyland Tea Party

I got to attend a tea party while I was in Disneyland over my birthday. It was a special thing that they were doing for the 60th Anniversary Celebration. I have had a lot of people ask me about the Tea Party, so I wanted to share my experience with you.

When I made the reservations for the Tea Party, there was no price listed. I was a little nervous because dining reservations in Disneyland can get pricey, but this was a once in a lifetime chance. There were 3 days in the week that the Tea Party was held, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. And only for lunch time. So it really limited when I could go. I booked the day it was released and was able to book my birthday weekend. I was super stoked.

The Tea Party was held in the Steakhouse 55 in the Disney California hotel. (For those that don’t know, it is close to the Paradise Pier hotel) I checked in for my reservation and was shown to a waiting area where I waited for about 15 minutes. I was shown to my table just myself, which was nice. The tableware was exquisite.

I started with a Wild Berry Tea, which I am no craving. Everything else was just part of the Tea Party. The food was very delicious. I got a variety of muffins, a few different kinds of sandwiches, and even got to try macaroons (I don’t try new food often). Next to the tea, I would have to say the chocolate covered strawberry was my favorite.

The Tea Party was well worth it and I would defiantly go to it again, if the opportunity were to arise. I hope you enjoy the pictures!!!
